Getting Around in Aarhus
Walking
Aarhus is a compact and clean city, which makes walking an easy and safe option for getting around.
Taxi
To book a taxi, you can call Aarhus Taxa on (+45) 8948 4848, or use one of the many taxi stands in the city, including one outside the main train station.
Uber or Bolt can also be used to easily order from an app, with a similar price to standard taxis.
Bus and Letbanen
Buses in Aarhus are a convenient way to get around the city, in case you do not wish to walk. There is also a light rail (Letbanen), which is less well connected.
The easiest way to buy tickets for both of these is using the Rejsekort app. After setting it up, simply swipe in the app to start/finish your travel, and the price is calculated automatically afterwards. If you're traveling by bus to/from Aarhus Airport (925X) or Billund airport (912X), note that an airport bus ticket includes local travel by bus or Letbanen within Aarhus City Center.
Schedules on Google Maps are typically accurate.
Cycling
Aarhus is a strong cycling city, with many bike lanes and cyclists around the city. If you wish to rent a bike, there are a few options:
- Donkey Republic: orange city bikes
- Lime: electric bikes
- Voi: electric scooters
