Aarhus, Denmark

Travel & Venue Information

TCC 2025 is co-organized by Aarhus Univerity and will be held in the open-air museum Den Gamle By (“The Old Town”) in the city center of Aarhus.

Local Information

Aarhus is well connected by air with two nearby airports, Billund Airport and Aarhus Airport with frequent shuttle transportation to Aarhus city centre. There are also direct train connections to Copenhagen Airport as well as Aalborg Airport. All airports are connected to the main airport hubs in Europe.

Getting to the Conference Venues

The main conference will be held in the tradition-rich "Helsingør Theater" (Elisinore Theatre) located in Den Gamle By (The Old Town). Den Gamle By is an open-air museum of Danish urban history and culture. Here, it is possible to immerse yourself in the history of Danish market towns, by strolling around in the streets filled with historical buildings, shops, fashion, kitchens, tools, etc. The museum and its exhibitions reflect how the Danes have lived and worked in cities for centuries.

Den Gamle By is located in downtown Aarhus at Viborgvej 2, 8000 Aarhus C. Given its central location, the venue is well connected by public transportation and within walking distance of most hotels in the city center.

Details about getting to the venue and parking facilities can be found at: Den Gamle By (directions and parking).

Getting to the Auditorium

The technical programme will be held in the Helsingør Theater (Elisinore Theatre), a historical theatre inaugurated in 1817 in Elsinore and re-built in Den Gamle By in 1961.

You must first enter Den Gamle By through the "Teaterporten" entrance located at the corner of Viborgvej and Eugen Warmings Vej. The theatre is on your right.
